FROM HOUSING TO SOLAR: HOW HOUSTON IS PREPARING FOR POPULATION GROWTH
As we enter 4Q24, land steam is continuing to build. We have had a record year in 2024, and we are not done yet. We still have new sites in the pipeline for our residential development clients with a projected lot delivery of late 2025 and early 2026. The Rosenberg, Waller/Hockley, and New Waverly markets have maintained high demand. That said, we are quickly inching our way further west and northwest into the Sealy and Navasota areas. The Houston MSA population growth hasn't and isn't projected to slow any time soon with numbers expected to reach 8 million by 2030. As always, with that increased growth comes an incredible demand for more housing. Our clients, with our expertise, are doing their best to meet that demand and keep the best city in Texas on its impressive path of growth.
Another factor to consider is with the exponential population growth comes increased demand on the grid and some of our large solar developers are ramping up power. Currently, we have multiple sites in Texas in the due diligence stage for either solar farms, battery storage, and/or data banks. Hopefully, with continued innovations in the oil and gas industry and help in certain areas with sizable solar developments, the ever-increasing demand on the infrastructure can be met and maybe, just maybe, even alleviated.

ICO COOK OUT
The ICO team's hard work was celebrated at our second annual event, where CEO, Larry Indermuehle and Managing Partner, Lang Motes took to the grill, showcasing their servant leadership by personally preparing and serving burgers with all the fixings. Their dedication was on full display as they made sure everyone was taken care of, well-fed and felt appreciated. The team enjoyed a day of camaraderie, topped off with a fun, friendly game of cornhole. It was a fantastic time for all!
